Sayonara From Tokyo
It’s always bittersweet to say goodbye, or sayonara, as they say in Japan but the time has come for me to move on from The Tokyo Traveler. It has been a real pleasure writing about this city for b5media but it has been even more enjoyable share this city that I call home with you, the readers.
I am proud to have been the inaugural author of this blog and understand that there will soon be a new blogger here to share even more about this amazing metropolis with you.
In the meantime you can keep up with me on twitter or check out The Nihon Sun, my new home on the web, where I will blog about travel and culture in Japan.
I hate goodbyes, so let’s not say sayonara, but ja mata (see you later) instead…

You did a super job of introducing Tokyo to the first-time visitor, and even a veteran of Tokyo would have learned something new. All the best with your new project (I’ve already subscribed), and I look forward to welcoming the next Tokyo Traveler, too.

It has been an absolute pleasure reading your blog and learning about Tokyo. You brought a part of the world that I am unfamiliar with to life each day and I can only say thank you and best of luck in your new adventures. I will be following along.

What a bummer. I just discovered this fine blog a couple of days ago and now it suddenly ends. It was a short please but a pleasure nonetheless. Arigato!

A blog era ends but two more will begin, I’m sure: you at Nihon Sun and whoever is lucky enough to take over TT. They are big shoes to fill but you leave them a huge head start! Best of luck with the Sun I, too, will be following along.

I spent two weeks in Tokyo last month - my first trip to Japan - and I am certain that I would not have enjoyed it nearly as much if I hadn’t had your posts to guide me. I’m looking forward to reading your new endeavor!

I’m very surprised by this. Thanks to your post on Eataly (http://www.thetokyotraveler.com/eataly-a-little-bit-of-italy-in-daikanyama/) I had the best lasagna outside of the U.S. ever this past Sunday.
