I guess that I am lucky Billy - I have a nice big shower room! :)

Jason, the thought of driving in Tokyo scares the heck out of me! I am more than happy to utilize public transportation (taxi's on the rare occasion that it is warranted) and I use my mama-san bike for most of my marketing. Being a little more friendly to the environment is not that hard and it's nice to see people making an effort, even if it's a small one.

Showering with a friend can be a little challenging in Tokyo. I mean, have you seen the size of some showers? I can barely fit in mine alone.

I don't know if I'd say that Japanese are right up there about being eco-conscious, but things do appear to be quite eco-conscious on the surface with all the sorted recycle bins around.

I've been using "eco bags" for over 10-years, and always carry one in my regular city bag. When I buy a single item I always refuse a plastic bag of course, and in the past year or so I've even tried hard to refuse them putting tape on the item. You get a receipt, so the tape is totally unnecessary. It's a real challenge to not get things taped though.

I will try and unplug some of my electronics.

I have to keep my air con at 25 (and I have a fan directly on me the whole time as well). 28 degrees is an inferno to me. But I'm vegetarian so my carbon footprint can take it.

I wonder if the other 17.4% of Tokyoites actually drive around this city? I have driven a few times in the city, and as a cyclist, I realized how infinitely faster cycling is than driving within the Yamanote circle area.
