The grocery store version may not be as beautiful but they taste great and are a healthy alternative to what we think of as fast food for the same price. By the way, I think most international flights still offer food. I think food is required to be served, by law, if a flight is over a certain duration. Mary Jo at Fly Away Cafe has probably talked about this but I'm not sure.

Bento are delicious and the traditional presentation is beautiful. I can remember the first time I had one, it was on an flight to Narita. (Aah, yes, the good old days when they had food). I think 90% of why I love bento is the box. It's so cute!

I love bento. I can remember the first time I had one, it was on an flight to Narita.
